Compass Pointe Men’s Golf Association (CPMGA)

The purpose of the CPMGA is to encourage enjoyment of the game of golf and to familiarize players with the rules, good sportsmanship and etiquette of the game.  The CPMGA and its members will adhere to the USGA Rules of Golf, including as modified by the CPGC Local Rules and the CPMGA League Rules.  The CPMGA has established league rules to enhance play as well as improve pace of play.

League play is on Tuesday mornings year round with organized games and monthly tournaments from early March to the end of October.  All players who are assigned tee times shall be randomly matched up with other players.  Tuesday foursomes are double teed with approximately half the field starting on holes 1 and 10.  Tournaments are typically a shotgun start.  All members must have an established USGA Handicap Index.

Membership in the CPMGA is open to any male member in good standing of Compass Pointe Golf Club with current golfing privileges.  Membership in the CPMGA has been capped to limit the number of members who may be wait listed for Tuesday play during the league season.  Prospective members must have a GHIN number before they submit a current Application Form, completed with all information.  The Application Form can be mailed to John Simmons, Treasurer, 2394 Compass Pointe South Wynd, Leland, NC 28451.  It may also be handed to any of the current Executive Board members.  When an opening occurs and if the prospective member is approved by the Executive Board, the prospective member will be contacted and must pay the current CPMGA dues.  Membership runs from January 1 to December 31 each year.
